Job Specifications –

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as first point of contact for all potential therapy students/patients.
  • Follow up on all therapy referrals within 48 hours.
  • Review and document in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) all therapy referrals and on-going status information.
  • Ensure completion and submission of all information/paperwork required for the therapy program.
  • Accurately input and scan all billing, medical and other client information into EMR.
  • Schedule initial therapy evaluations and tour prospective students/patients.
  • Verify eligibility for services including obtaining prescription and contacting insurance company and obtaining authorization for services.
  • Perform routine eligibility status checks, including verifying Medicaid and commercial payers and communicating information to all needed parties.
  • Complete and/or provide required statistics and data for reports.
  • Set up and confirm therapy schedules and prepare superbills for therapists.
  • Manage the Plan of Care process (sending, receiving, tracking, follow-up).
  • Prepare all initial information for therapy clients (new charts, medical history, entry/updates into EMR, etc).
  • Collect and post payments. Follow-up with outstanding payments and communicate information to Therapy Program Manager and parent.
  • Provide general office support (correspondence, phone, service tickets, etc).
  • Provide excellent customer service at front desk, greeting guests/families/team members and providing accurate information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Training:

Associate’s Degree or comparable experience.

 

Minimum Experience:

  • 2 years Administrative Assistant

Prefer experience working in a medical setting.
